NDC Performing Company
Members of the performing company tour the city of Birmingham and the surrounding area performing for churches, schools, weddings, family reunions, and other occasions.   We educate people of all cultures in the history of West African and African American dance and drumming folklore.

About Us

Nathifa Dance Company & Outreach, Inc. was established in 1992. Our vision is to have a vibrant multi-cultural community rich in heritage; forming a positive self-image, self-pride, spiritual growth, and cultural awareness through dance.

Our mission is to educate and instruct in the cultural arts, through dance and music by providing services throughout Birmingham to deprived, low-to-moderate income individuals, families, minorities and other disenfranchised groups of people.

West African Dance

This is a very energetic class that contributes to your fitness and understanding of African dance culture.  This is a good class to help tone the body while learning traditional stories told through West African dance and drumming.

Traditional Praise Dance Workshops

Our workshops help students to build a stronger technique in modern and African dance for spiritual worship of personal use or for church worship services.  Let us come before His presence with thanksgiving and make a joyful noise.
